Aging populations are posing unprecedented healthcare and social challenges to our society. Disruptive innovations are needed as game changers for healthy aging and disability. Neurorobotics, an innovative discipline which merges neurorehabilitation, neurophysiology, and robotics, may provide solutions. At the University of Padova, an interdisciplinary group of neurologists, neurophysiologists and engineers are developing intelligent robotic devices, which interact with the user to improve motor performance, with a futuristic vision on wearable robots.
